Turok: Evolution PS2 - Rushed, rushed...and barely playable

byRock_On Aug 31, 2002

Pros the detail put into the surroundings are really nice
Cons can barely control flying levels, very repetitive, gets boring
Recommended it? No

Intro:
I?m not really a huge fan of the Turok series, although I did enjoy the original that was released on the N64. When that game spawned two more sequels and one multi-player ?expansion?, the games generally began to decrease in every possible aspect including gameplay, replay value, fun... Read full review »

Pros Some cool levels, funny death scenes, great multiplayer games.
Cons Sketchy A.I., no atmosphere, pop-up everywhere, pointless flying missions.
Recommended it? No

Pros Excellent graphics, good integration of movie footage
Cons Much too short, no multiplayer
Recommended it? Yes

Licensed games are often cause for worry as far as quality is concerned. Especially when a game is based on a movie, and is shipped to coincide with the movie's release, that often says that the game is put out more to make money by capitalizing on the movie's popularity and name recognition than... INTRO

The Lord Of The Rings trilogy promises to be something not seen on movie screens since the first three Star Wars movies dominated the late seventies/early eightie's. With the books already having a vast following, the first movie thrust the storyline into the mainstream. Naturally... Read full review »
