Pros Its so simple even a caveman can do it!
Cons Geico thought of that clever slogan, and I probably shouldn't use it.
Recommended it? Yes

I purchased this sound card as a replacement for a previous Sound Blaster that died. (It did so after 3 years plus of service, so I'm not complaining, it was more than likely damaged in my move last fall).

Cons Only that I didn't buy it sooner!

My reasons for purchasing the SB Live external are probably a little bit unusual, but it was just what I needed!

Pros Good sound for games and playback.
Cons Only way to record is using Line-In with an RCA to miniplug.
Recommended it? Yes

Why did I buy?
I wanted a cheap yet dependable card that could xfer 24-bit digital audio to my hard drive without data conversion. I wanted my 24-bit mixes from my recorder untouched as a bit-to-bit transfer.
