Pros Very stable, lots of options and flexibility, Product Activation not so onerous.
Cons Not compatible with some older programs and hardware.
Recommended it? Yes

I resisted Windows XP for a long time. First off, I don't like the idea that there's a separate Home version that's a "light" version of the Professional Edition. I think this is just a little confusing.

Cons USB Drivers not always come over from Windows 2000.

Pros friendly, reliable, supports 4 gigs of ram, runs 64 bit + 32 bit applications
Cons NOT support 16 bit and rare to find drivers

Difference between x64 and XP pro sp2? Its all about ram, x64 supports over 4 gigs of ram which is awesome if you work for Pixar. Which I dont.
