Pros Clear, bright sound. DVD decoding and a slew of other features.
Cons Occasionally buggy drivers. Dongle might be a problem if you are rough.
Recommended it? Yes

For the three years that I've owned my Thinkpad, I was desperate to improve the horrible sound quality of my laptop's built in sound-card. When Creative finally released a PCMCIA sound card, I was sold before I read a single review. Thankfully, the card is all I could have hoped for.

Most laptops have lousy built-in sound cards. For the longest time, I was stuck with only basic stereo from a headphone jack, my sound often ruined by static from a poor ground. Creative came to the rescue with an ingenious product, the Audigy 2 ZS Notebook.

Pros Good sound for games and playback.
Cons Only way to record is using Line-In with an RCA to miniplug.
Recommended it? Yes

Why did I buy?
I wanted a cheap yet dependable card that could xfer 24-bit digital audio to my hard drive without data conversion. I wanted my 24-bit mixes from my recorder untouched as a bit-to-bit transfer.
