CUSTOMER SERVICE ANSWERED ALL QUESTIONS AND WOULD HAVE MADE PURCHASE THRU THEM IF THE SIGHT HAD BEEN SECURE. PACKAGE WAS DELIVERED EARLIER THAN EXPECTED, WHICH MEANT I DIDN'T MISS A GAME! PRICE WAS THE LOWEST ANYWHERE FOR THIS MODEL AND BEAT WALMART BY $80 WITH FREE SHIPPING AND WALMART, ON-LINE OR AT THE LOCAL STORE, WOULDN'T PRICE-MATCH. WHICH WAS A GOOD THING BECAUSE DELL DELIVERED IT TO MY DOOR.

Dell's products are good. I wish Dell puts more thrust on exposure to consumers in relatively not represented markets. Pricing strategy adopted is workable. During all my purchases, I was wondering as to why a company like Dell with all those products line-ups, systems & the culture cannot beat Acer & ultimately HP

I made a purchase during a black friday sales event on 11/28/09 expected delivery date 12/3/09.  A week later I receive a delayed order, expected delivery date 12/17/09.  Today, almost two weeks later I received a expected another delay until 3/17/10 with permission to continue the order, no apologies or offers of any sort.
99% of the people who purchase are doing so for the holiday season.  This is obviously a demand that Dell cannot meet and I will never purchase during a high demand season again.  My previous purchases have also been delayed, however not to this extreme.
When the product does finally arrive I have had no complaints with the actual product.

I was able to do a live online chat with the Dell representive and he answered all my questions in a timely matter. He ask me to place my order through him but was not difficult when I decided to do some more research on the items I was considering.

Order was made on Monday 12-07-09. On Tuesday 12-08-09, the order said that it shipped on 12-07 and was scheduled for delivery 12-08, but there was no tracking information. I was forced to call to find out what was going on. They gave me the tracking number and said it was not being delivered that day, since it had not even been picked up yet. The order was received in good condition on 12-09, but that tracking system was ridiculous.

Was very hard trying to find what i needed on their site (computer-wise). Had to go to a different site for information on one of the products as their site was wrong (hard to imagine a laptop lock <1 inch long). Tracking ok, delivery for part of order fine but would have rather had them shipped together. Online customer support during ordering not the best- could never address my problem (one of the ordering links down) even with contacting 3 people and spending >1hr with one trying to order.

Very clumsy when ordering a laptop with...

Very clumsy when ordering a laptop with a custom shell. Sometimes after selecting the custom design, the design appeared when going on to customize the laptop, sometimes not. After finally getting the item customized correctly and into the Wish List, it was clumsy getting to the account, into the wish list, and further editing the configuration when I wanted to change some of the accessories. Not always certain I was getting the latest promotional upgrades. Unfortunately, going through Dell's web site appears to be the only way to get equipment customized as desired.

This is approximately my 6th or 7th order from Dell over the past years --- for "this order? the process was "in my opinion" not what I expected from Dell. When creating the order a delivery date of Dec 17 was shown, on check out (after order completed) the date changed to December 28, then when the e-mail confirmation arrived, it shows January 4. Previous orders were easy to follow the stages of the order, I can not find any updating or "progress" information on Dell's web site, other then "in production." An on-line inquiey was sent to Dell asking why the change in the delivery dates (over a week ago) --- have not receiven any reply, other then "We?ve received your message and look forward to serving you ... typical response time is 24 hours or less."

I like the Dell products but the site is very confusing . I have a hard time navigating from page to page. I shop on line to take advantage of the special sales. I WONT shop on line again, because part of what was recommended to me on line turned out to be the wrong item. This is not the first time that this has happened and I have had to return items. Someone needs to check that related items are the correct ones before recommending them. The lady I talked to about the wrong item told me I had ordered that item and was not real understanding or very polite. She did, however, solve the problem.

Ordered print cartridges on Dec. 4th. Ordered 5-7 day shipping. Order has not been rec'd. Unnacceptable. Cust. svc. said it takes a long time to put them in an envelope!!?? I must allow until the 18th of Dec. Sounds like you have very slow help!!!! Terrible svc. Was on hold for too, too long. Cust. svc. is awful!!

Cannot answer #6. Another option, e.g., "Not Applicable" or simply "No" is needed. No rebate was indicated. Discount or "Savings" was applied at purchase checkout. The whole issue stemmed from the inability to use or re-instate at point of sale a Dell "Preferred Customer" account. Online Chat was unable to handle the mattrer as was the secondary Financial Services rep. In effect, they were of no use to solving the problem.

Haven't received an e-mail with tracking number on the last 2 computers I ordered, so I could not track the order. On the last computer ordered, I paid for 3-5 days shipping and after 5 days was told that it would not be received for another week. I am still waiting for this computer to arrive. What kind of business policy is this???? Service after orders has fallen short severly over the last year or so. Perhaps Dell needs to take a look at some of their policy follow ups.

The site is difficult to navigate and very time consuming. It took me a hour just to order ink for my printer. I ordered a laptop several months ago waited for arrival. I did not receive confirmation, when I called a few days later the sale price was not available. Transferred 4 times before I got a intelligent salesperson I could understand. Now I have a Vista that I don't know how to operate, and I use my slow 4 yr old Dell XP PC which will not except Explorer 8.

My main purchase isn't promised until next week. Two supplementary items arrived this week exactly as promised. Before finally ordering my computer, I had three online "chats" with Dell staff. My longest wait to chat was 8 minutes. Once the chats started they went very smoothly, with little waiting. The staff wrote conversational idiomatic English, succinct and to the point. They were very helpful, answering all the questions I had and some that I should have had. Dell's reputation for excellent customer service was an important part of my original decision to buy from Dell, and I was not disappointed.

Price displayed with product was around $70 lower than actual price. Dell's response was to do nothing and to actually refuse to let me speak to any supervisor. Delivery time is incredibly slow and costly. I would not buy again.
