Use whatever u need . This is not the best ! I`d recommend it to a friend who needs programs with no support on other os !
As long as people don`t know or use any other operating system than Microsoft Windows, does not matter what we write here, when for them is no choice. When all great software producers develop everything almost exclusive for Windows, neglecting those open source operating systems, then what can u tell about it other than that its the best.
Technically, windows is not the best, around it a lot of people live by fixing its errors, making software search for its bugs, viruses, etc., "protect it". A good OS does not need that kind of care. This OS is buggy, slow, and it ruins itself day by day by creating chaos in its file system, slowly and painfully, u`ll live to see your $5000 PC working like a Pentium 1.
When u talk about windows u talk about those softwares that work on it and the "next next next next next" system of installing things, easy for everyone. It don`t makes u think or bother to much about how it works, anyways most of people have no interests in it. This Windows is what people need, for now, a platform for programs, that is easy to use !
If you want an OS that u can say to everyone it works smooth and is reliable, you should try Linux/Unix, this days they all have graphic interfaces, and many of them installed by default. The only thing u`ll missing is all the software that works on Windows. And that`s the sad part.
