A group of terrorists known as Gindra Liberation has captured an American cargo plane containing Metal Gear, the most dangerous weapon in the world, and taken it to their base located in central Africa. Rather than send an entire army to take over the base, the American government sends the man who was responsible for Metal Gear's first demise, Solid Snake. You take control of Snake as he infiltrates the terrorist base, collecting weapons and items to help him along the way. The box sucks him inside, where he comes across an odd fellow who claims to have been the ruler of the music box world. He cannot regain control until he finds five small music boxes. Wario agrees to help find the boxes in exchange for all of the treasure he can find and a ticket out of the music box. You take control of the invincible Wario as he travels throughout the kingdom. Even though Wario is invincible, enemies still pose a problem. When a bad guy hits him, Wario will be afflicted with some temporary effect. In a rising pit of colored blocks, it's your task to continuously eliminate these tiles by switching two tiles' positions on the horizontal row. When three or more tiles link up in a up/down or left/right fashion, they disappear. The Communists are trying to reassemble a machine that will open the door to a parallel universe. However, many of the key parts are missing. It is up to you as Indiana Jones to search the globe and recover the pieces before the Soviets do. You will have to run, jump, swim, and fight his way through 19 levels of action. Luckily, you can use a whip, pistol, machine gun, and grenades on the Soviet soldiers, spiders, scorpions, snakes, wolves, jaguars, sharks, jellyfish, and poisonous lice you encounter. The game follows the plot of the movie: you must help Tarzan grow from a boy to an adult in the span of 14 levels of action. While many of the levels offer platform- jumping, vine-swinging fun, some of them recreate some of the action sequences from the movie. No matter where he is, Tarzan must collect the tokens and fruit that are scattered about. Collecting 100 tokens earns an extra life, and the fruit can be used to dispose of enemies.
