The Bottom Line:
Awesome system, its cheep, and sounds better than i could ask for!
Was at sams club, saw this on the shelf, all display looking, and thought, im stuck with 2.0 audio, looked at the price, and had to have it. got it home, set it all up, kinda, you dont need the speakers to go all around. started playing doom 3, and the sound was amazing. all this, back when doom 3 had just been released.
SETUP
Well, this can be a bit confusing for some people, because it has 3 plugs instead of 1, one plug is for the rear 2 speakers, another for the 1 front speakers, and the last one for the subwoofer and center speaker. my motherboard had 3 plugs, only it was audio out, microphone, and audio in, but using a tool in windows, i was able to map the microphone and audio in to be audio out channels, after that, it was all good, just set up the speakers before you plug them into the subwoofer.
USE
Well, I use this for gaming, and i couldnt have asked for anything better for under $100. most games just sound better than 2 speaker systems, i feel like im in a sound room, then i go to a 2 speaker setup, and it sounds, ok, but the 5.1 is better. Tanks comming up frombehind you make the subwoofer rumble, infront, you hear the crisp noise of the metal treads klinking together, like it should be. movies are even better, knock it over to the Dolby Digital 5.1 setting, and crank it up!
OVERALL
For $50, amazing, would easly pay $70 for these. Music is actually more clear and surrounding than normal 2 speaker systems. Logitech support was extremly nice to replace my 2 rear speakers when they broke, got them in the mail, been a Logitech fan ever since
