I bought this item 6 weeks ago on Amazon and was initially pleased. It makes good coffee, but it really doesn't keep smaller (less than 4 cups) of coffee hot, or even warm, for more than an hour (yes, I have the lid on tight with the cap on top!). Nice coffeemaker
Nice coffeemaker. Replaces my Capresso which died prematurely (less than 3 year life). I think the Capresso actually made slightly better coffee, but the Zojirushi is very good. Good coffee, good look, good thermos, so-so ergonomics
It makes a good cup of coffee. It's fairly quiet and fast, and looks nice on my counter. The coffee stays hot for hours in the thermal carafe - as long as you put on the cap and twist the lid closed.

Good coffee, Thermal Carafe Makes the Difference
We needed to replace our older, regular glass carafe drip coffee maker (a Krupps) after it seemed to be making the coffee weaker and weaker (even after cleaning). We loved it until . . .
This Zojirushi makes great coffee. But after a couple of years the bottom came off the thermal carafe and it can't be put back on. A replacement carafe plus shipping costs $47.00, almost as much as the whole unit. So we are looking at other brands to replace it. Read full review »
Disappointed
This brews a decent cup of coffee, but the coffee just doesn't stay hot inside the thermal carafe as I had expected it to.
