Wurm for Nintendo (NES)

The Earth seems to be slowly destroying itself, as violent earthquakes and volcanic eruptions have become a regular occurrence. The Vector Zilus Research group has created a vehicle, the Wurm, that has the capability to venture deep under the Earth's surface in order to investigate the strange happenings. Unfortunately, several previous Wurm missions have lost contact with ground control, and there's only one more chance at success. As Moby, the top Commander of the Marine Corps, you've been selected to head a team on the last Wurm expedition. As you dig deeper into the Earth's crust, your Wurm has the ability to transform itself from a drill tank to a hovercraft to a super jet fighter, and it's equipped with the latest weapons technology. If you can survive 26 levels of action and discover the cause of all the destruction on the surface, the planet just might have a chance of surviving.
