Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition

I have been using this OS right from its release. In the meantime I tried other OS too but I always came back to it. It is widely used so there is no problem sharing/transferring files to others and receiving from them. It works well even on slower machines and is neither the energy nor resources hog. It is pretty easy to use at the basic level and can be very functional in case you want to upgrade.
