Good, but could be better
Pros
Price (considering some are $80-150), ear comfort, light weight, good mic
Cons
Slightly uncomfortable, way to much bass, some annoying features.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
I would recommend them if you are fine with bass, and the cons I list dont concern you.
I bought these after my $20 headset broke and after hearing and seeing a lot of people rave about them. I bought them for use with online communications and online gaming.
The Pros-
They are very light, the first night I wore them for a 5 hour gaming session and for the most part forgot they were really on. They do not pinch your ears to your head like a lot of headphone/headsets do which is nice. (One thing to note, there are two styles of this same item... one set has a XL earpad seen in the picture and the other is a more foam looking ear pad that can be seen via tigerdirect.com.) The mic appears to work wonderfully, people say that I sound clear, though I never had any problems before. Also, depending on your liking I find that the mic is a little awkward to position, it feels a little to close to my mouth that I am comfortable with, but thats just me.
Cons-
The sound quality is iffy believe it or not. Compared to my older set these seem to have a slightly muffled sound to them. As some of the other users have said they are very very very bassey. Just in talking to people I have had to adjust things because they sound so loud. I am not the only one to think this as most others have had the same problem. I personally think it is unacceptable considering these are listed as gaming/multimedia headsets on sennheiser's website. The headband has a padded liner that looks fine, but when wearing them is really only contacting your head at the top. This constant contact makes them annoying at times. Looking down they do feel a little loose which calls more attention to this one spot on your head. These two points are very very annoying and have me still searching for a headset. On a personal note, I like headsets that completely surround your ear to keep noise from bothering others in the room as well as keeping the ear buds from crushing your ears... these do not come close to covering my ears. The cord itself feels pretty cheap, it is very thin and I am affraid I am going to break a connection by rolling over it. One last thing, from the bottom of the ear pieces, to the in-line volume control is nearly 2.5 FEET, which is way to long of a distance, on top of that this control feels very cheap.
Would be a 10 if...
These would be a 10 out of 10 if they would make the mic adjustment a little more flexible. Fix, or make adjustable bass features. Reposition the in-line volume control. Give the cord a thicker design. Expand the earbud sizes so they cover your entire ear.
