D-SLR quality, at a compact digital camera price.

Pros pretty much everything
Cons Bulky, Creates movies in the Quicktime .mov format
Recommended it? Yes

The Nikon Coolpix P100 is, by far, the best camera that I’ve owned. For starters, it has a massive 26X zoom, allowing the photographer to get creative with close-up shots. It also has 10 megapixels, allowing for very clear images, which compliments its 1080p HD video capabilities. It has a 3"... Read full review »

Worst Nikon I've ever used

Pros a few nice features
Cons poorly designed
poor quality assembly
very slow...
Recommended it? No

I bought this camera online depending on my past good experience with Nikon Camera's.

The worst camera decision I ever made.
The lens assembly wobbles and leaves the corner of the picture vignetted because the wobble puts the lens out of alignment to the center of the sensor... Read full review »

Cons Bulky, in camera battery charging, video slow starting.

First Impression
If this camera doesn’t win some kind of design award I’ll be surprised. I was impressed with it right out of the box before taking the first shot. It’s a little bulky due to the 26X zoom capability but feels very solid and comfortable when hand... Read full review »

Pros Excellent, all round camera with tons of capability
Cons Might be a bit more complex than average user wants
Recommended it? Yes

I got this camera as a travel alternative to my DSLR outfit which while gives me a lot of flexibility is a pain to haul around through airports these days.

This is pretty close to the ultimate take anywhere camera. I don't mind standard point and shoots but in general they are really... Read full review »

Not worth the price

Pros * 26x zoom
* HD video capture
Cons * Poor image/video quality giving a "washed out" look
Recommended it? No

I had high expectations for this camera. I was replacing a Canon S5IS and was looking forward to the addition of 26x zoom (vs 12x for the S5) and HD video. However, the P100 just didn't cut it in image or video quality. The images and video consistently looked washed out. ... Read full review »

Pros Easy to Use, Excellent Picture Quality, Lightweight
Cons None submitted
Recommended it? Yes

From the first picture I fell in love with this camera. The zoom is incredible, and the pictures turn out so clear and not at all pixelly like other cameras that I've bought. It was expensive, but oh so worth every penny. This is definately going to be a camera that I have for a very long time. Read full review »

I have to give it a 5 star so far. I do not see anything I would not like about this camera. I did some price matching and got a good deal instead of ordering one. It is prety powewrful for a starter camera but does the job beautifully. I use both the eyepiece to focus and the LCD 3 inch screen as... Read full review »

Pros Quality Construction
Cons Bulky, Poor Image Stabilization, Weak Flash

I bought it and tried for my friend's baby shower function. Very few photos came good. Auto Flash works on its own. Sometime flashes and sometimes doesn't. Need to play to make sure whether photo is stored. No indication of picture counter or stored information... Read full review »
