Have had this drive for a little over a week. Runs fast and silently. I haven't used any other such drive, so I can't compare it to anything else, but I would definitely recommend it all the same. It was easy to install (even for a beginner-builder like myself), recognized immediately by my OS (Windows XP Professional), and seems to accept a wide variety of media. Burns a single-layer DVD in around six minutes.
