Because it has less problems and is very good.
Windows XP was much better than I had expected. Windows 95 ruled but was limited,98 and ME had many many errors that made the system crash,so I of course expected little of XP. In fact my family had a fight over buying XP. Though I am now glad they won and not me!
Windows XP amazed me by not having those pesky errors that the former two did,plus you had the ability to send in those pesky errors that do happen. Which I'm still in awe of! Also you have a built in firewall which saves you money and time. It looks oh so much better with more colors than the boring,old and ugly silver task bar ,and makes having multiple accounts easier to use and make,plus you have more security for the accounts. Plus you have a few more games and built in MSN messenger(again which saves time).
Windows Movie Maker is an awesome tool to make and edit your movies ,and Windows Media Player has made a huge improvement.
The Security Center is a wonderful tool to let you know what you computer is lacking in the security. It also reminds you when your updates are ready to install.
All in all it's pretty grand and worth the money spent. It also reminds you why Microsoft is leading the software and OS world. It may not be Windows 95,but it is still good.
