Logitec V20's Almost good enough
Pros
Small & portable with carrying case. Good option for travel speakers.
Cons
Speaker wires not long enough. Sound output not good enough.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Good for small laptop use & portability. Not good enough for daily music listening if you want really good sound.
I didn't like the built-in speakers on my new 22" Sony Vaio Desk Top. So thought I'd try these V20's out.
Hook-up was easy just plugged into back USB port. No software adjustments required (in most cases). Nice easy to use & stable fold out speaker stands.
They were almost a good match but: Cord leading from right speaker wasn't long enough (only about 12") to reach to audio output on other side of computer. So if you have a long cord reach you have to get an extension.
The sound while good started to break up (speakers begin to crackle and cut out) when listening to high frequency tracks such as choral music w/ high pitch voices. I suspect that is why they are called laptop speakers (good sound but won't fill up a room). Sound controls on top of right speaker didn't seam to work (had to use computer controls). There is no adjustment for bass/treble.
Carrying case a great deal if you want these for travel speakers (take along with your lap top). Very small (fit in your hand) but sturdy. Nice silver look & design.
Price at about $70 a little high for small speaker systems. For $40 dollars more I upgraded to better Z-4 speakers.
These are probably a good buy for portability and small lap top users. If you are looking for really good sound output and more sound control look at Logitecs other full line of PC Speakers (probably will be one that fits your needs).
