Pros Fast, rechargeable and Logitech performance!
Cons None!
Recommended it? Yes

An optical mouse running at 400 dpi of resolution has its fits when you are a serious gamer. The MX 700 gives you 800 dpi of resolution for a much smoother and faster acting mouse. Image processing is at 4.76 megapixels per second giving you a smooth accelerating optical mouse, with a larger... Read full review »

Pros Rechargeable, cordless AND very gaming-friendly. New navigation features.
Cons High price. Not designed for left-handed folks.
Recommended it? Yes

Okay, okay. Although mice are not specifically categorized as gaming devices, it's what we primarily use for our PC gaming, which is what I'm going to focus on for this review since mice are fairly general as far as what they're used for with other PC applications. There are PC gamers that play... Read full review »

I am primarily a gamer with some photo editing tasks and have been using the Logitech MX700 for more than a year already. So far, I have been very pleased with it. Just recently, I purchased another one to replace my from games tortured old MX700. The silver paint on the body slowly wore off and... Read full review »

What can I say about the MX700? A few months ago, I would have said no mouse is worth $80. Do to an Advertising typo, I got a Logitech MX300 from Staples for $15. So I had forgone on this bizarre shaped alien looking device. Surely that can't be comfortable, I thought. And those side buttons will... Read full review »

Gamer friendly cordless mouse with bad eyesight

bykweckstrom Jan 22, 2003

Pros Rechargable with excellent battery life, comfortable
Cons Inferior optical sensor, very small secondary buttons, iffy tracking
Recommended it? No

I was one of the original buyers of the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer. I loved the idea of an optical mouse that you never had to clean and didn't require its own special mouse pad. That mouse worked well for me generally, though many people complained about its gaming performance. I personally... Read full review »

Pros Rechargeable, great design, comfortable, extra buttons, you'll be happy with it
Cons Difficult to find any; buttons lack good customization, only for right-handers

Before obtaining this mouse, I was using one of those Microsoft Intellimouse, or whatever you call them. It was optical, but I use it with a laptop and the wire become annoying because I have tight desk space in my dorms.

I went searching for a wireless mouse. Priority 1: I better not... Read full review »

This mouse is basically an MX500, but wireless. It has the same response time as the corded MX500, as well as all the other features such as the buttons and the sensor. The package contains the MX700 mouse, receiver/charger base station and 2 1650mAh NiMH AA batteries(as well as a disc with... Read full review »

I've used the MS Intellimouse series of optical mice since the day they hit the market (literally the first possible day). I've always found that Microsoft does a good job with its hardware, and this continued on through their mouse line. I've owned an Intellimouse Explorer at home and currently... Read full review »

I'm going to have to go ahead and agree with pretty much all the other reviewers that this is a fantastic little peripheral. I have a mild repetitive stress injury from typing and mousing, and so when I was looking for a new mouse last year, I did a lot of research into quality ergonomic mice. This... Read full review »

Cons Buttons feel cheap, silver paint wears away, may interfere with other wireless mice.

The MX700 is an excellent mouse. The unit comes standard with a set of NiMH rechargeable batteries and a recharging stand so unlike a lot of other cordless mice out there you do not have to replace the batteries every few months, which can be a little frustrating.

Battery life usually... Read full review »
