Sleek, Sexy, and Silent

Pros Looks good, innovative and functional design, silent, excellent cooling, has wheels!
Cons Lacking in documentation, heavy
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  An excellent choice for a home computer case. Technical knowledge required, but the looks are well worth it.
My previous computer case had 7 fans in it (2 power supply, 1 rear case, 2 front case, 1 side case, 1 CPU). As you can imagine, it was pretty loud, especially with the Intel stock heatsink that came with my Prescott core Pentium 4 3.0E with hyperthreading. After flying home from New York on a turboprop and realizing that my computer was possibly louder than the turboprop, I decided to get this case.
Lian-Li built this case to be silent. With 2 120mm fans, separate case compartments, and thick aluminum build, this case balances quietness with cooling ability.
When I got this case, the first thing I noticed was the ease of opening the case. One thumbscrew loosens a sliding cam thingy that unlocks the top of the side panel, and the panel is simply lifted upwards to be removed.
The most significant thing about this case is that the motherboard goes in upside down. This creates a problem with cooling - heat rises, and the CPU is now lower in the case, so your PCI cards get a bit toastier. Lian-Li compensates for this by putting a 120mm fan right next to the CPU, though. A 120mm fan is superior to the normal 80mm fan because it can push the same amount of air at a slower fan speed, which equates to less noise.
The 3-compartment design is also pretty useful. My hard disks run pretty hot, and the separate compartment for the hard disks isolates that heat. The hard disk compartment has a dedicated fan in the front for it, and my hard disks run cooler than ever before - 35 degC while spinning, 30 degC idling. My processor temperature also dropped by 2 degC when idling with the Intel stock heatsink, and when I switched to the all-copper, silent Cooler Master Hyper 6, it dropped even further.
The separate compartment for the power supply means that your power supply will never have to live on the heat generated by your processor anymore, too. The innovative Lian-Li semi-modular PSU design makes installation a breeze too. Simply remove the back plate, screw it onto the power supply, and slide the power supply in and tighten the thumbscrews.
The front looks very sexy. This is basically as close to a Apple G5 look as you can get in a PC, with the perforated brushed aluminum facade. The case comes with one CD-ROM and one floppy bezel, but if you want to add a second optical drive, I cannot stress this enough: buy a second bezel. It will integrate the appearance of your case infinitely many times over.
As good as this case is, though, I did have some issues. The documentation wasn't very detailed, so I ended up confused about where to stick some screws, but it only took about two minutes to figure out that the hex motherboard screws screwed on top of other hex motherboard screws to act as spacers and screws supporting the mobo. I also had problems with the floppy bezel; my floppy drive's eject button did not stick out, and the plastic tab easily slid off. I had to superglue some scrap plastic to the plastic tab on the bezel to provide enough reach to allow the floppy drive to eject.
The case isn't designed for LAN parties, due to its weight, but it's easy to roll this down the hall to a LAN party down the hall (the great things about dorm life.), because this case has WHEELS!!!! And tires to go with those wheels! And now, my computer is quieter than ever.
This case has all the looks and functionality you'd expect from Lian-Li, a new innovative design, rock solid build, and excellent cooling design.
