Dr. Bott's ExtendAIR Omni is an Apple-certified external antenna that expands the range of Apple's AirPort Extreme Base Station (antenna port required).??ExtendAIR was developed to provide the maximum range for AirPort clients while maintaining the typical Apple look and feel. EXTENSIVE TESTS CONCLUDE THAT THERE IS NO INCREASE IN RANGE

Pros Looks nice.
Cons DOES NOT EXTEND RANGE

I have tested every way possible and I do not see an increase in range from the Dr Bott OMNI Antenna for Airport Extreme. I use a 17 in Powerbook and can only reach a maximum of 50 feet with only 1 sliding glass door separating me from the antenna.

Pros Looks nice.
Cons Takes up space and DOES NOT WORK.
Recommended it? No

This is by far the biggest piece of junk I have ever purchased. I was conned by the 'Best in Show' rating given by MacWorld. I wish that I would have listened to my friends who had the same experience. This is a terrible terrible product. IT DOES NOT WORK! Read full review »

Pros Does work, but does require environmental variables be tested! Know your house!
Cons Had a bad one out of the box, but had great customer service
Recommended it? Yes

After reading the above review, I have to state that this is his opinion. The one I have gave me extra range and gave me higher throughput further from my extreme. I had to go through a defective antenna to get one that works, so maybe the previous writer got a bad one.
